Harry Potter is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Harry Potter book series written by J.K. Rowling. He is a young wizard who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and becomes embroiled in a battle against the dark wizard Lord Voldemort.

Harry was born to James and Lily Potter, who were both powerful wizards. When Harry was just a baby, Voldemort murdered his parents in an attempt to kill him as well, but the spell rebounded and left Voldemort weakened and seemingly destroyed. Harry was left with a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead as a result of the attack.

Harry was then raised by his aunt and uncle, who treated him poorly and kept his magical abilities hidden from him. On his eleventh birthday, he discovered he was a wizard and was invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Throughout the series, Harry becomes close friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and together they face a variety of challenges and enemies, including Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Ultimately, Harry is instrumental in defeating Voldemort and restoring peace to the wizarding world.
